Alanna Harman

Alanna Harman’s research is primarily focused on creating a positive environment for community sport. In particular, she is interested in better understanding the coaching environment and what factors make for a positive experience. Alanna is also interested in better understanding the experience of female athletes, and critically analyzing how female athletes are presented in the media recognizing their position as role models for young female athletes.

Alanna Harman is a proud member of the Advisory Board of the Sunlife Financial Centre for Physically Active Communities and Committee Member for Ontario Artistic Swimming where she is able to connect research with practice.
